Welcome to Wachhund

Working dogs with a balanced mind

“Wachhund” is German for watchdog — a dog that is alert, capable and devoted to its people.

Every Wachhund dog is bred with workability, intelligence and athleticism in mind, without ever losing focus on health and stable temperament. The goal is simple: dogs that excel in work and sport while remaining confident, balanced companions.

And because breeding is only the beginning, Riley also trains — giving puppies and their families the foundation to reach their full potential.

The Wachhund Standard

What sets our dogs apart

Health First

Parents are tested for hips, elbows and degenerative myelopathy, with a full Embark genetic panel.

Proven Drive

Our dogs train and compete in French Ring, Dock Diving, Fast CAT and Scent Work.

Stable Temperament

Clear-headed, social and trustworthy — with an off-switch that makes them great to live with.

Raised at Home

Breeding dogs live in Riley’s home and trusted guardian homes, not in a kennel row.

Training Spotlight

Training that builds partners

From first puppy lessons to service dog foundations and sport, Riley trains with the same structure and patience she puts into every litter — and the experience of a handler who competes with her own dogs.

Confident in public, focused on the job and calm at home: that’s the goal for every dog.
